An Indian Air Pressure (IAF) Apache helicopter made an emergency touchdown in Ladakh throughout an operational coaching sortie on Wednesday. The IAF stated the incident occurred because of the challenges posed by the undulating terrain and excessive altitude within the Ladakh space of accountability (AOR). Because of this, the helicopter sustained injury.

Each pilots aboard the helicopter are secure and have been efficiently recovered to the closest airbase. The IAF has initiated a Courtroom of Inquiry to analyze and decide the precise reason behind the emergency touchdown.

Underneath a deal signed with the USA in September 2015 value Rs 13,952 crore, the IAF inducted 22 of those superior helicopters. Moreover, the Indian Military is within the strategy of receiving six Apache helicopters underneath a separate contract inked in February 2020, valued at Rs 5,691 crore.
