Police have booked a Justice of the Peace in Rajasthan’s Karauli district for allegedly asking a Dalit rape survivor to strip to point out her accidents, an officer mentioned at this time.

Deputy SP (ST-SC) cell Mina Meena mentioned that the survivor had filed a grievance on March 30 alleging that the Hindaun courtroom Justice of the Peace requested her to strip so as to see her accidents.

“She refused to strip and after recording the assertion within the courtroom on March 30, she registered a grievance towards the Justice of the Peace. The case was registered with Kotwali Police Station underneath fees of outraging modesty,” Meena mentioned.

The Justice of the Peace has been booked underneath part 345 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC and SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) Act.

In line with police, the girl was allegedly raped on March 19 and an FIR within the matter was registered on March 27 at Hindaun Sadar Police Station.
